The desire to capture the spirit of life, elusive and mysterious, is what moves my work. Working in metal and clay, I move with the elements, I respect the earth. Choosing everyday objects, I pay homage to ritual: the ritual of dining or the ritual of getting up every morning and facing life. It is the daily, moment-to-moment living and the quality of life that concerns me. Each piece is a symbol of an aspect of life, the intention being to awaken onešs soul and sensibility, subtly, through fun and living. It is hoped that my forms bring about a closer awareness of nature and beauty in everyday life.....and ultimately of the wisdom of life itself.
